10. 菊子 Kikugo (Fugu no Shirako aka Blowfish's Milt) @ みかわ是山居 Mikawa Zezankyo, Tokyo. To be eaten with sudachi and salt. This was what I had been waiting for. Mikawa only uses the premium shirako of tora-fugu which are much more expensive than regular fugu shirako, and in the previous pic you can see the sheer size of the whole one. Each tempura is about 1/2 of a tora-fugu shirako and that's substantial (in HK this alone will cost half of the meal here.....). Even with the tempura coating you can still vaguely see the shirako inside. I know for a fact that you can't eat the whole thing at one shot as it is really really really hot, like fried tofu where all the heat is trapped inside. And so, I proceeded, with extreme care, and bite in....... by little_meg_siu_meg http://bit.ly/1zSiQbR
