一品 松葉蟹 生姜酢 Ippin : Matsuba-gani (Snow crab), ginger vinegar @ まき村 Makimura, Tokyo. Grilled matsuba crab leg with a dollop of crab miso on the side. The two legs were both decently sweet, and of course the crab miso was the ultimate best part of all crab dishes. But I must say after the Taiza-gani at Matsukawa, no crabs, especially Japanese snow crabs, even tasted the same. I also had Echizen-gani at ひろ作's kaiseki and smaller Taiza-gani at Shimada within this trip, and all these crabs were zuiwai-gani (snow crabs) from different areas / prefectures in Japan. I would say they were all superior to this one. I think this is why sometimes you hear people say something is "the best" or "so good" but when you try it yourself it may not hold true. Because each person has his / her own experience and the benchmark could be placed completely different; it's all relative to personal experience! by little_meg_siu_meg http://bit.ly/1D7lNeG
