14. 鱈白子の天ぷらと蕪おろしスープ Tara shirako (cod's sperm sac) with kabu oroshi (grated Japanese turnip) soup @ 天ぷら元吉 Tempura Motoyoshi, Tokyo. This reminded me of the fugu shirako kabu soup at Matsukawa and the shirako tempura in soup at Seizan. This version was quite pleasant as well, the shirako was still creamy inside and the softened fried tempura coating after soaking some of the soup was excellent. The soup might not be Matsukawa level but still very soothing and comforting for a cold night.
