5. 1-Michelin Star Harutaka (now 2*) in Tokyo. We visited Harutaka right after our 2nd visit to Sukiyabashi Jiro. And as many are aware that Chef Harutaka Takahashi worked under Chef Jiro for 12 years, I find the dining combination of that day very unique for us. Overall, I thought this was appropriately rated at 1* level. Superb on so many courses and certainly very good on the others. The Awabi course was absolutely astounding! The attention to details here are very good. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. Chef Harutaka and his apprentices were very friendly.
