So I typically roll my eyes at people who order #Japanesefood at Korean restaurants, but my friend and I went to a Korean restaurant (#haahn) on a really warm day, and I'm pretty sure it's not air-conditioned. The last thing I wanted was a bubbling cauldron of stew or a sizzling platter of meat. So I ordered the #chirashi and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Buttery #salmon, #tuna, #yellowtail, #shrimp, #octopus, #mackerel (I think), and some other #fish #sashimi I don't remember. Wasn't the hugest fan of the #crabstick and #tamago, but that's because I hate tamago in general. The tamago here was pretty decent, though, even for me. The biggest surprise, though, was #sushi #rice on the bottom. Chirashi is typically served over a bed of plain seasoned sushi rice that I usually just eat a bit of, but the sushi rice here was also topped with #roe and #furikake #nori/#seaweed rice seasoning. I LOVE furikake and always have a few different varieties in my pantry. The rice was so good, and I polished off the entire bowl. #japanese#foodporn#instafood#fresh#healthy#latergram by caramelflahn http://bit.ly/1hJOOww
